Dear Campus Community:
On May 16, Gallaudet University will host its 139th Commencement. We
will celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of the 337 students who
will cross the stage, receive their degree, and become alumni. On this
week's Bob's Vlog I had a conversation with three of our students
graduating next week--Brooke Budzinski, Brian Lucas, and Arlyn
Penaranda.
Brian and Arlyn are both graduating seniors--Brian with a degree in
business administration and and Arlyn with a double major in
government and sociology. Brooke graduated from Gallaudet as an
undergraduate in 2004 with a degree in deaf studies. She returned to
Gallaudet and will now be receiving her master's in ASL teaching. All
three have been heavily involved with extracurricular activities
during their time at Gallaudet, from sports to leadership positions in
student organization and clubs.
I am proud of all of our graduating students. When our students leave
Gallaudet they continue to be leaders and make a positive difference
in the world. We wish them all the best.
Sincerely,
Robert R. Davila
President
