Dear Campus Community:
The new semester has begun and we're all looking forward to a great year. It's also time for "Bob's Vlog" again. For those who are new to Gallaudet, every couple of weeks or so, I send out a personal vlog which is posted on the University's website. This is an opportunity for me to share news with you about important things happening on campus. I often interview individuals from the University and the Clerc Center.
On this week's program, I interviewed Dr. Stephen Weiner, Gallaudet's provost. One of the things we talked about is the opening of the James Lee Sorenson Language and Communication Center (SLCC), a building that is truly one-of-a-kind. In fact, Provost Weiner and I will be hosting a special event to officially open the SLCC on Wednesday, September 3 at 3 p.m. You are encouraged to come to the SLCC atrium at that time to join us for the festivities.
I hope you enjoy watching this week's vlog.
Sincerely,
Robert R. Davila
President
