Merrill Lynch Entrepreneur Leadership Training Program

Program Overview

The Entrepreneur Leadership Training program is a 1-year certificate program that provides a model for the delivery of professional programs for deaf entrepreneurs and business organizations. Gallaudet Leadership Institute developed this program in collaboration with the National Deaf Business Institute. The program is designed to develop the leadership potential of deaf business owners, and other deaf professionals, as well as to provide an environment where participants can learn from other deaf professionals who have experienced the challenges of establishing and expanding a business and succeeded. By increasing awareness of opportunities and knowledge of business practices the program will also lead to increased opportunities for deaf entrepreneurs.

Program Outcomes

  • Certificate in Entrepreneurship
  • Knowledge of resources & strategies leading to the development of a completed Business Plan Portfolio
  • Resources and strategies for financial plan, management plan, marketing plan and business practice
  • Knowledge, skills, resources and strategies for general business development leading to effective and educated business decision making
  • Expand personal and professional development for effective business leadership
  • Opportunities for networking and support from the business community at both local and national levels.
