Eye Movement Integration: Level I
Program Overview
Eye Movement Integration (EMI) is a brief therapy technique that is effective in treating phobias, post traumatic stress, anxiety and negative or self-limiting thoughts. The technique is one of many developments of the Neuro Linguistic Programming movement of the late 1970’s and is modeled after the work of Robert Dilts and Connierae and Steve Andreas. This program is designed for the working mental health practitioner and will include a brief overview of the foundations of eye movement therapies as well as intensive practice in the use of Eye Movement Integration (EMI) in clinical settings. Students will be exposed to selected NLP principles that form the basis for EMI and specific strategies for the use of EMI with clients. Lecture and practice will be enhanced via live demonstrations and videos of the technique in use. Successful completion of the course will lead to certification as a practitioner of EMI from Phoenix Counseling & Hypnotherapy, LLC. Continuing education units will also awarded for counselors and social workers.
