Welcome to the website for the Council on Undergraduate Education (CUE), an elected representative body of the undergraduate faculty at Gallaudet. The dedicated CUE team is ready to serve the university's undergraduate program needs for AY2009-2010. Three subcommittees are formed to focus on curriculum, policy, and academic program review. We encourage you to contact the following subcommittee chairs or members for related issues.

Proposal Deadlines for Existing Programs/Majors:

• Fall semester -- October 1 for Catalog Preview and October 30 for CUE Action.
• Spring semester -- January 30 for Catalog Preview and Febuary 15 for CUE Action.

Proposal Deadlines for New Programs/Majors:

To ensure that CUE has sufficient time to deliberate and work with departments on large proposals (new programs or new majors), they must be submitted to CUE for action by October 30 in the fall semester.

NOTE: In order for proposed changes to take effect in AY2010-2011 Catalog, all actions must be approved by CUE before the Senate's April meeting.

Proposal Preparation and Submission:

• The Blackboard-based CUE Curriculum Proposal Portal, aimed at simplifying form preparation and formalizing the submission-feedback-approal process, is ready for operation starting August 24.
• Curriculum proposal action forms, preparation instructions, visual guides, and samples are  available for download from this website (under "Curriculum Action Forms") and the Balckboard proposal portal (under "Guides & Samples" and "Form").
• Caroline Solomon, Curriculum Subcommittee Chair, will review draft proposals submitted for catalog preview to ensure language accuracy and consistency.
