The ASL and Deaf Studies Department is pleased to announce the launch of Deaf Studies Digital Journal, a peer-reviewed academic journal featuring both ASL and English, as well as international sign. This journal is made possible by the technology available today to feature scholars presenting research in both signed languages and in written text, a pioneering step for the future of publication in sign language, as well as increasing research in the field of deaf studies.
The launch of DSDJ will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 5 p.m., at the SLCC Atrium. Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration.
The launch is made possible by Executive Co-Editors Dirksen Bauman and Ben Bahan, Managing Editor Melissa Malzkuhn, VL2, and Sorenson Legacy Foundation.
