SHORT BIOGRAPHY Professor Vrbetic came to Gallaudet from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, where she was a visiting research scholar in the Center for International and Security Studies. She was a research assistant in the International Security Studies Program at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a research fellow at the Institute for International Relations of Zagreb, Croatia. Much of her research endeavors in her native Croatia and in Belgium was on projects sponsored by the United Nations and the European Union. She held various teaching appointments in both the U.S. and Croatia, and has authored and edited several publications. She is a member of the American Society of International Law (ASIL), American Political Science Association (APSA), Women in International Security (WIIS), and the Croatian Political Science Association.
