SHORT BIOGRAPHY Dr. Jane Hurst has been teaching Philosophy and Religion at Gallaudet since 1981. She is the author of "The Nichiren Shoshu Soka Gakkai in America: The Ethos of a New Religious Movement" (New York: Garland Press, 1992) and several articles. Dr. Hurst's interests include Native American Religion, Death and Dying, World Religions, Religion and Psychology, and talking about the meaning of life.
