SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Mary T. Weiner, Ph.D. is a professor with the Department of Psychology at Gallaudet University. Dr. Weiner graduated from NCSD in 1977. She received her bachelor degree in psychology from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 1981 and her masters degree in school psychology from Gallaudet University in 1982. Her 1997 doctoral degree from University of Maryland is in human development. Dr. Weiner has been with Gallaudet University for 20 years. She is also the Board Chair of a non-profit organization serving D.C. deaf women who experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. In addition to teaching at Gallaudet University, she has provided numerous presentations and training sessions on intervention strategies for use with deaf and hard-of-hearing students; especially in bullying prevention.
