Why Gallaudet

Why?

Graduate school is training in research. It is for people who have a thirst for knowledge, an inquisitive mind, and an interest in studying your field of interest.

According to the 2006 Gallaudet Alumni Survey, our graduate students say that their Gallaudet degrees have opened many doors for them. As one alumnus said, "I think Gallaudet is Mecca in the Deaf world. You can truly network among the professionals who can help you connect to a job." [see .]

Do you want to know more reasons why you should attend graduate school? Visit our slide show for more details.

What?

While almost 50% of the graduate student population at Gallaudet is Deaf, qualified Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing students are all welcome.

Gallaudet offers an array of programs at the certificate, master's, specialist, and doctoral levels that prepare students for a variety of scholarly and professional careers.

Gallaudet is currently accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (MSCHE) until 2011. In addition, our programs are held in high esteem and are also fully accredited by a variety of professional accrediting bodies.
