The Assistant Dean for Curriculum, Policies, and Operations works closely with the Interim Dean of the Graduate School and Professional Programs (GSPP), the Council for Graduate Education (CGE), graduate academic departments, and graduate students to ensure the quality of graduation education at Gallaudet. The Assistant Dean maintains and oversees processes and procedures related with tracking and communicating graduate curriculum change and graduate school policies, monitors the establishment and conduct of dissertation and thesis committees, coordinates the oversight of the Graduate School's Academic Integrity and Responsible Conduct of Research Initiatives, and monitors the Graduate School catalog for quality control and consistency with approved CGE actions and protocol from the Interim Dean's Office. The Assistant Dean represents the Interim Dean's office at doctoral dissertation defenses and attends all CGE meetings as an Ex-Officio member, and serves as an advisor to Graduate Special Students. |
