A financial contribution of any amount strengthens Gallaudet's mission in providing an outstanding education, development of leadership skills, and career opportunities for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students.

Why your support is needed
In the past, almost all of Gallaudet's funding came from the federal government. However, as the years pass by, the University's federal appropriation steadily decreases. This makes private support essential so that Gallaudet can maintain the quality of its programs while keeping tuition costs affordable for students. Your gift goes a long way in making this happen.

Another important reason that your participation is vital is that when foundations and corporations are deciding whether to award Gallaudet grants, they look at the number of alumni, family, and friends who contribute annually as a factor in making their decision. So, theoretically, a modest gift from you can actually translate into the University receiving millions of dollars!
