This American classic has always resurfaced, one way or another, at different points throughout Deaf theatre history, including a 1967 Gallaudet production directed by Gilbert C. Eastman.
With almost 100 actors, this multimedia production (with extensive use of film) is a 21st-century production of an early 20th-century work set in the 19th century, an experimental exploration of what it might mean to redefine Deaf theatre for the YouTube generation. This is NOT a movie.
