Dear Campus Community:
On this week's "Bob's Vlog" I have a conversation with Joseph Hill, a doctoral student in the Department of Linguistics, who recently completed a stay in Italy as a Fulbright scholar.
Joseph was conducting a sociolinguistic study of the attitudes of teachers, administrators, and parents toward Italian Sign Language (LIS) in the country's deaf education programs.
He was able to travel around Italy visiting different schools for deaf children as part of his research, and he had the privilege of getting to know members of the deaf community there.
I hope you enjoy this week's vlog.
Sincerely,
Robert R. DavilaPresident
