Dear Campus Community:

Colleges and universities in the 21st century face shifting demographics, a tightening economy, and the evolving needs of an increasingly global workforce. Gallaudet's Board of Trustees called for the creation of a new five-year strategic plan to guide the University through the dramatic changes occurring both in higher education and in tomorrow’s population of deaf and hard of hearing students. Over the past several months, more than 100 people--including members of the board, administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, and students--have worked together to develop a draft plan that will serve as a roadmap for Gallaudet's future.

On this vlog, I am joined by Dr. Richard Lytle, executive director of the Office of Strategic Planning; Dr. Lawrence Fleischer, a member of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Stephen Weiner, provost; and Paul Kelly, vice president for administration and finance.

I encourage everyone to learn more about Gallaudet’s long range strategic planning.
