 
Before starting your application, you need to know that graduate admissions is a shared process at Gallaudet. The faculty in the program to which you apply evaluate your application and make a recommendation to the Graduate School regarding admission. The final decision is made by the Dean. |

How do I apply to the Graduate School? By far the easiest way to apply to graduate school is to fill out an online application. Your information will be saved as you go. While we offer and prefer you to use our Online Application form, we also have a "paper and pencil" Application Booklet available. Note: Decisions on admission to all graduate degree programs are made by the specific graduate program.
- What is required to apply for admission to the Graduate School?
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate study, including evidence of having received a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. (Those applying during their final undergraduate year will be required to submit a final transcript after completion of their bachelor's degree and before enrolling in their first semester of graduate study.)
- Official transcripts of all graduate study.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a four-point scale) in all previous undergraduate and graduate study. (Occasionally, applicants with a GPA lower than 3.0 may be admitted conditionally upon the recommendation of the department.)
- An application fee of $50.
- A completed graduate school application form.
- Goals statement.
- TOEFL scores for all international applicants.
